How An April Fool's Blessing Should Sound

Here's a jabberwocky poem I wrote in 2002 at Campbell:
JABBERWOK MONKGOOK BLESSING

Trebbly, mungle. marred and feared---
Round the cornhuskine ran da beard.
Tibbly, tabbly, down we prabe,
Fornfer, farver and deprage.
Rangle, rengel, noun non not.
Brabe, breadfood eat wam hot.
Ningle, nangle, namby pamby pan,
Fring, frang, bring, brang bran.
Tibble, tabble, worg-wang whoge---
Ning, Nang, sing-sang houge.
Veeb, vabe, veerdy freuden bows,
Weevle ringle-rangle browden rose.
Ginzle, ganzle, tingly tows and deplose
Habitate nate nang-norton robe nose.
Neezle, Nayzel repose on trivvle, travle green
Beezel, bangnawl; tinge-tang, tounge-tied sing.
Now, let’s eat the feast before us, beezy gazey
And before it gets lost in dingy, dangnobbon hazey!

THE BABYLON MONSTER

Here's a Leonard Cohen influenced poem that I wrote last year:

THE BABYLON MONSTER

A casual accident crawls out of caustic reality. A green-eyed monster claws, at his heart. Oh, Babylon, you are liaisons of drunken orgies. You, poor boobies of alcoholic pride. You, sack of rotten teeth and flesh. How quickly you sell yourself for a bottle. An ugly swan floats by and you rebel against it. A Resurrected Butterfly flies by and you would rebel against that, too. How dare you fling your Wisdom, in our faces! Your spastic tail swings, at anything with two legs. You, ape with cruel eyes. You betray your elasticity by stretching your limits. Is there no honor or dignity anymore? Whatever happened to decency and integrity? We are not amused by the selfish pricks displaying their crack, in gutters. We have called, but the signs were avoided. A dog limps by with a broken leg. I straighten my face, in the mirror. The windows are dark, now. There is not a sound, except for dawn, and then Babylon begins again with unholy terror.

Commentary- The Babylon Monster

When will people graduate from high school?
Why can’t we do anything without bullshitting
each-other behind our backs?
Take a good look, in the mirror, and face the Babylon within yourself.

A JOURNEY COMPLETED

A JOURNEY COMPLETED

---In Sincere Christian Sympathy,
On Marie’s Grandmother’s Passing
Saturday, January 20th, 2007.

Who is it that gazes,
Upon the vast limitless void?
There is a Light here.
You have disappeared and
Have become one with that Light.
A star has been formed,
In honor of your name.

You are gone from your journey,
But your journey will not be forgotten!
Your life will live on,
In your loved ones!

We have erected towers of silence---
Come, now, let us remember
The one, who has passed
Through the gates!

The journey, now, being completed---
A soul retreats back into the sky
And guards against
The cruel armor of the night.
We all stand---
Joined with God.
